The Spatial Sciences Institute (SSI) is a membership organisation offering services to people in the Asia Pacific region who work in the spatial disciplines and communities of practice that use spatial information to complement and support their business operations or personal activities. The SSI fulfils the role of spatial information industry promotion, advocacy, skills development and recognition of excellence. The SSI also offers professional certification to practitioners at general and specialist levels.

§       Communities of Practice - land administration, natural resource management, emergency management, forestry, agriculture, defence, marine environment, local government, health, education, tourism, transport and many more

The SSI has a strong community focus and welcomes new members into established networks to participate in a range of social, professional development and celebratory events held throughout the Institute.
